So what next for the blog? Well there’s more to come. Our adventure hasn’t finished yet 🙂 Rach and I have started to have a think about where we are going to go next. But we’ve got hurry up before summer passes us by.
Things that are in the pipeline so far:
22nd of July:
Rach and I are going on a mini cruise down London’s famous river Thames. We’re then going on the London Eye then off to the theatre to see a show. We don’t know which one yet.
23rd of July:
I’m heading off to the Farnborough International Air Show. The world’s biggest airline jet, the Airbus A380 will be touching down and another one will be on display. They’ll be heaps of aeronautical displays and many of my favourite fighter jets will be there too.
29th of July:
I’m going to the British International Motor Show. Only you car heads will appreciate this but this show is set to be huge. The world’s fastest production car the Bugatti Veyron will be on show. The race version Aston Martin DB9R will be there along with a host of million dollars super cars such as the Enzo, Maserati MC12, Koenigsegg CCX, Pagani Zonda, Porsche Carerra GT, Lambos, Ferraris and many more.
11th – 13th of August:
I’m heading off to the German World Rally Championship. I’ve wanted to go to this event for some time as it’s a tarmac rally. The boys will know what this means. The cars will be fully dumped, slammed on massive rims, brake rotors the size of bike wheels, awesome hand break turn hairpins and red glowing hot brake rotors! Bring it on! As well as I don’t think they are as safety conscious as they are in Australia, which will mean I’ll be able to get up nice and close to the action. I don’t think they have public liability issues in Europe.
17th – 20th of August:
I’m heading off Finland to catch with Dale and to go see the Finland World Rally Championship. I can’t wait. It’ll be great to catch up with Dale and to see the rally. It is one of the fastest rallies with a very high average speed.
26th – 28th of August:
Nat and I are potentially heading off to Portugal again, as I believe think this weekend is a long weekend here in London.
hehe thats all sounds like real geeky fun adrian but what is rach going to do??? hehehe you know i love ya :p
Hello Adrian.
I have been enjoying your blog site and look forward to new news, I am excited about you going to Finland for the WRC. Finland is a great place and their rally drivers are great to. When I lived in Fnland in 97 I stayed at my friend summer cottage which is a stones throw from a service area for the rally, although it was winter and things where very quiet. I looked at the map but could not find the area. Are you spending any time in Helsinki? I have a first cousin there that works at this great bar, maybe you guys could meet if you have time.
Bert
hey berty,
nah i won’t be spending much time in helsinki apart from the airport.
my friend who is picking me up lives in lahti. we’re then driving to the rally which is in jyvaskyla. i think we’re staying in a motor home there for the whole time and then on the last day i’ll take a train from lahti back to the airport.
this friday i’m flying to luxembourg then driving across the border to germany to watch the rally there. and then of course next weekend is finland. it’s going to be a blast.
great to see you enjoying the blog. i’m glad some one is reading it 🙂
